Shylo Sharity is a country artist based out of Vancouver, BC. Her sound is a mix of Dolly Parton and Kacey Musgraves that’s part traditional, with a touch of throwback and a whole lot of sass.
She’s the perfect mix of fresh, fun and often, quirky melodies and concepts. “I want people to have fun with my music… But I also want to be able to say something honest at the same time”.
Mainly spending her time between Vancouver, Nashville, and Toronto, Sharity is co-writing with many established songwriters including: Randy Bachman, Megan Trainor, Patricia Conroy and Ryan Guldemond
The singer, songwriter has already seen an impressive career. Shylo spent the last year recording her first EP and then releasing all 6 singles to all digital platforms and specifically pushed one single, “Summer Of You” to radio where she received a few adds to B-stations and over 116,000 spins on Spotify. She also partnered her release with a Canada-Wide radio tour and a 5-State road trip across Utah and LA for her music video.
Sharity also placed second in the RBC Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Musician Program in 2019, and in 2020 she had the privilege of performing alongside Charlotte Cardin on Festival du Voyage’s main stage in Winnipeg. Sharity has also been nominated for Female Artist and Mandolin player of the year, as well as The Ray Mcauley Horizon award at the BCCMA’s. She has also had the privilege of performing on the BCCMA’s main stage event.
Shylo was also one of three selected to join Terri Clark this past May in Calgary for her induction into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame. Sharity was one of six across Canada to participate in the CCMA Discovery program and was invited to perform at their songwriter round the following year.
Furthermore, Shylo received the Bell Media, full ride scholarship to attend the Canadian Music Incubator two-month business intensive in Toronto. Shylo has also had the privilege of performing at the TD Juno’s Green Room, as well as opened for Jann Arden’s last-minute replacement, The Tenors at the prestigious Commodore Ballroom. Shylo has also had the honor of playing live at Robson Square for the Variety fundraiser alongside The Washboard Union. She has also had the privilege of opening up for Toby Keith on Sunfest’s main stage, as well as Wynonna Judd and Dallas Smith for a Variety the Children’s Charity fundraiser.
